Local Missions

Being an active part of our community is important to us.  Sometimes ministry means giving of our funds, and sometimes it means giving of ourselves.  It always means giving out of the same love that God has given to us.

We partner through our time with the following organizations:

  • Kids Hope USA
Members mentor students through an after school program

  • Room In The Inn
Members help provide meals on a monthly rotation for homeless individuals at this day shelter.

  • Rutherford County Food Bank
Ongoing food pantry collections and an annual, youth-led food drive.

  • 4-Cents-a-Meal (Part of the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee's Cents-Ability Project)
At our Wednesday night dinners, we place change jars for donations on each table. The money collected is used to assist local programs or award grants to Middle Tennessee hunger agencies.

  • American Red Cross
Twice a year, we partner with the Red Cross to host blood drives.

  • Pastoral Counseling Center
Individuals serve as Board Members at this "ministry of professional care dedicated to healing and growth in human life and relationships."

  • Community Helpers
Individuals serve as Board Members with this "non-profit, United Way agency whose purpose is to provide emergency financial assistance to the people of Rutherford County with utilities, rent, medicine and referrals."

  • Salvation Army
We participate annually in the Christmas Angel Tree Project.

  • Fair Trade & Social Enterprise
The church hosts a yearly bazaar with Ten Thousand Villages and Thistle Farms, a fair trade organization and a local social enterprise.  The community is invited to participate and learn more about each organization.

  • Operation In As Much
We join with this coalition of downtown churches to provide annual workdays for local non-profit organizations.

  • Disaster Relief
In the aftermath of the 2009 Good Friday tornado and the 2010 Nashville Flooding, we provided assistance to those affected.

We support the following local organizations with financial contributions:

  • Rutherford County Food Bank
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Community Helpers
  • Pastoral Counseling Center
  • Special Kids
  • Salvation Army
  • Greenhouse Ministries
  • Room In the Inn
  • Many other Presbyterian outreach organizations

All of our mission outreach efforts strive to place Jesus Christ at the center of the mission relationship and project. Praise God for his unending love and care!
